There are two comments.

  I've visited people in jail and from their time there it has always been an unpleasent place to be. Not because it's jail, but because of the plice officers and guards. They treat the inmates like crap. No they're not there to make friends but they are human. The attitudes some of the workers there have is very uncalled for. In my opinion if you don't like your job, find a new one. And for the the government to be receiving so much money per inmate and this being the 2nd largest jail in the nation, why can't they have decent food served. Or better yet better sleeping arrangements. The cells are over crowded. They're continuosly adding people to the system, but not releasing any. You are taken to jail in this county for rediculous reasons. You can not live in Harris County and appear poor. The system loves these people.

  It's an ugly place in there, I also was an inmate there in October of 07 and from my point of view its horrible and cold. oh yes it is really cold in the especialy there cold food it was nasty :(
